After winning the toss, RR opted to bat first but faced early setbacks. Despite a decent start, the middle order failed to capitalize. Dhruv Jurel was the top scorer with 33 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 29. However, KKR’s bowling attack ensured RR couldn't build momentum. Varun Chakaravarthy and Moeen Ali were the pick of the bowlers, both claiming two wickets each and keeping the run rate in check. As a result, RR could only manage 151 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs.

The South African batter played a magnificent unbeaten knock of 97 runs off 61 balls, guiding his team to an easy win. His innings was a blend of aggression and precision, ensuring there were no hiccups in the chase. Young talent Angkrish Raghuvanshi supported him with an unbeaten 22 runs.

RR’s bowling attack struggled to make breakthroughs, with Wanindu Hasaranga being the only wicket-taker for them. KKR comfortably reached the target in just 17.3 overs, finishing at 153/2.
