✨ A Fresh Look: Liquid Glass
macOS Tahoe debuts a new visual style called Liquid Glass. It brings more depth and motion to the interface, with soft transparency, rounded corners, and a sleeker, more modern feel that better matches iOS and iPadOS.
📞 The Phone App Comes to Mac
For the first time, Mac users get a built-in Phone app. Now you can make and receive calls directly from your Mac, with support for live translations and call management features—perfect for people who switch between devices often.
🔍 Smarter Spotlight
Spotlight search is now faster and more helpful. It can launch apps, complete tasks, and show richer, more personalized results. This update turns Spotlight into more of a quick command tool than just a search bar.
🎮 New Gaming Features
Apple introduced a new Games app for macOS, making it easier to manage and launch your games. There’s also a Game Overlay that lets you tweak settings while you play—Apple is clearly investing more in gaming on Mac.
🤖 Built-In AI: Apple Intelligence
Tahoe includes the first wave of Apple Intelligence tools: live message translations, improved app suggestions, and smarter Siri responses. Developers also get access to new AI tools for building features into their own apps.
✅ Supported Devices & Release Date
macOS 26 supports all Apple Silicon Macs and some Intel models. A public beta is expected soon, with the full release coming in fall 2025.
