macOS Tahoe debuts a new visual style called Liquid Glass. It brings more depth and motion to the interface, with soft transparency, rounded corners, and a sleeker, more modern feel that better matches iOS and iPadOS.

📞 The Phone App Comes to Mac

For the first time, Mac users get a built-in Phone app. Now you can make and receive calls directly from your Mac, with support for live translations and call management features—perfect for people who switch between devices often.

Spotlight search is now faster and more helpful. It can launch apps, complete tasks, and show richer, more personalized results. This update turns Spotlight into more of a quick command tool than just a search bar.

Apple introduced a new Games app for macOS, making it easier to manage and launch your games. There’s also a Game Overlay that lets you tweak settings while you play—Apple is clearly investing more in gaming on Mac.

🤖 Built-In AI: Apple Intelligence

Tahoe includes the first wave of Apple Intelligence tools: live message translations, improved app suggestions, and smarter Siri responses. Developers also get access to new AI tools for building features into their own apps.

✅ Supported Devices & Release Date

macOS 26 supports all Apple Silicon Macs and some Intel models. A public beta is expected soon, with the full release coming in fall 2025.
