Gujarat Titans Set a Challenging Target

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Gujarat Titans posted a competitive total of 175/6 in their 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a composed knock of 62 runs off 45 balls. His calm presence at the crease provided much-needed stability, while David Miller added crucial runs later in the innings with a quick 38.

Sunrisers Hyderabad tried to apply pressure during the middle overs, with Pat Cummins picking up two wickets and bowling economically. However, GT managed to accelerate in the final overs, ensuring a strong finish.

Sunrisers Falter in the Chase

Chasing 176 for victory, SRH struggled to build partnerships. Gujarat’s bowlers were spot on from the beginning, making early breakthroughs and never allowing SRH to recover. Abhishek Sharma showed some resistance with 35 runs, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.

Rashid Khan was the standout performer with the ball, turning the game firmly in GT's favor with a brilliant spell of 3 wickets for just 19 runs. Mohit Sharma and Noor Ahmad chipped in with two wickets each, helping to bowl out SRH for 137 in 18.4 overs.

What This Means for the Playoffs

With this victory, Gujarat Titans move to 14 points, strengthening their position in the top half of the points table. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, the loss means they remain at 12 points and will now need to win their remaining matches — and rely on other results — to keep their playoff hopes alive.
